Magnesium Oxide
Calcined magnesia for expansive cementing and acid neutralization.
Magnesium oxide's reactivity is set by its calcination temperature, and that single variable determines what it is good for. Lightly burned MgO reacts quickly and buffers pH; hard-burned MgO reacts slowly and controls expansion in cement. Specifying the right grade matters more with this material than with almost anything else we supply.
